Belarus, an Eastern European nation, has the .by country-code top-level domain which was established in 1994. This domain extension has been around for more than 25 years. .by serves as a unique online identity for Belarusian businesses, organizations, and individuals.

The President of the Republic of Belarus controlled its initial administration through the Operations and Analysis Centre. Later, Reliable Software Inc. has taken on the role of Technical Administrator for the .by domain since 2012.
