What types of domain data does NetAPI provide?

NetAPI tracks registered domains across more than 1,500 TLDs. You can download plain all-domain lists or richer all-domain datasets with DNS, server IP, hostname, and contact fields. We also offer DNS-based lists on DNS provider lists, registrar data on registrar WHOIS datasets, the domain lookup tool and IP lookup tool for one-off checks, and the free, daily updated compromised IP list and compromised domain list. What is the difference between a domain list and a domain dataset?

A list is just domain names — one per row in a gzip CSV. A dataset adds Majestic rank, DNS servers, hostname, emails, phone numbers, server IP, and country. Head to all-domain lists for a lightweight file, or all-domain datasets when you need the extra columns.

Which domain list types can I download?

Each zone has up to three list types: the full list of currently registered domains, a new-domains list with domains added in the last 24 hours, and a deleted-domains list with domains that dropped out of the zone in the last 24 hours (for zones whose registry publishes the complete zone daily). All of them are on the all-domain lists and ccTLD domain lists pages — per zone or combined across all zones. Datasets follow the full and new options on all-domain datasets and ccTLD domain datasets; deleted domains are available as lists only.

How do DNS-provider domain lists work?

The DNS provider lists pages group domains by authoritative DNS provider — for example, every domain using Cloudflare or Route 53. You can download a plain domain name list or a full dataset for each provider.

How do registrar WHOIS datasets work?

The registrar WHOIS datasets pages group domains by registrar and include WHOIS fields — registration and expiration dates, and contact details when available.

What do the domain and IP lookup tools do?

Use the domain lookup tool to look up one domain — registration info, DNS, and server details. Use the IP lookup tool to see which domains are hosted on an IP address (reverse IP lookup). Handy for quick checks, not a substitute for bulk zone downloads.

What are the compromised IP and domain feeds?

The free compromised IP list and compromised domain list are updated daily with suspicious IP addresses and domain names. They are meant for threat monitoring and can be downloaded from the site or pulled through the API like our other products.

Can I automate downloads with the API?

Yes. After sign-up you get an API token to automate downloads — zone lists, datasets, DNS and registrar files, all-zones bundles, and the compromised feeds. The API documentation covers authentication, endpoints, and request formats.

How often is data updated and how do plans work?

Most zones are updated every day. Some zones, mostly country-code ones (marked N/A in the New domains column), get smaller daily updates between full refreshes every one to two months — the Last updated date on the catalog pages shows when each zone was last processed. Pick a plan on the subscription plans page to see what each plan includes, then download files from the site or use the API.
