A deleted domain is not necessarily free to register. The list records names that have dropped out of the .barcelona zone: the registration expired, or the domain was suspended or undelegated. After the expiration date a domain normally goes through a renewal grace period and a redemption period, typically 30 to 75 days depending on the zone, during which the current holder can still restore it, and only after a short pending-delete period is it released for registration. Some names return to the zone when the holder renews or a suspension is lifted, and then appear in the New domains list again.
