Can I download sample domain lists or datasets?

Sure! Click here to download a sample domain list or here to download a sample dataset.

I downloaded the file, and it's too big. I can't open it in Excel!

Some popular zones contain tens of millions of records. After downloading the file, use 7-zip to extract it and ModernCSV to view its contents.

What is a basic domain list, and how does it differ from a detailed dataset?

Both formats include the same set of domains.

A basic domain list contains _only_ domain names (one domain per line). The detailed dataset also contains additional fields, such as DNS (nameserver), IP addresses, emails, and phone numbers found on the corresponding websites.

You can download a sample domain list here 💾, and a sample dataset here 💾.

What are "active" and "new" domains?

When we say "active domains", we mean all delegated (?) domains. That is, they have at least one DNS (nameserver) assigned to them (i.e., they appear in the global zone files).

If a domain is not delegated, it is absent from zone files and from our lists. Non-delegated domains are a small fraction of all registered domains, so they can usually be ignored.

Since we update our data every day, we track which domains have appeared in and which have disappeared from the global zone lists. Based on this difference, we compile our lists of deleted and new domains.

Why don't you provide daily updates for country code zones?

Many ccTLD zone files are not publicly accessible.

However, our crawlers scan hundreds of millions of domains each month and find cross-references to country-code domains. After additional checks, these domains are added to our datasets, so most country-code domains are included. Because this data is collected indirectly, country-code datasets may not be fully refreshed every day.

What are domain lists by DNS provider?

In simple terms, these are lists of domains that use a particular DNS provider (e.g., Cloudflare). You can download (manually or via API) a list of domains that use one of our supported DNS providers. The file format is similar to the standard one (you can choose between a simple list and a dataset).

I need to set up a daily import of domain lists to my server. I don't want to download it manually every day. What should I do?

We provide an API that lets you download any selected dataset, or download a combined dataset across all zones at once. Read the full API description here.

The detailed dataset contains emails and phone numbers. Are they available for every domain?

Please do not use this data for unsolicited bulk email. It may be used for targeted outreach only after careful filtering and in compliance with applicable laws. Emails and phone numbers are collected from publicly available information on the websites associated with the domains in the dataset. Many sites do not publish contact details, so we do not guarantee that email or phone fields will be available for every domain.

Are there contract commitments, or can I subscribe on a month-to-month basis?

Subscriptions are billed monthly, and you can cancel at any time from your Dashboard.
